The bookcase comprises three glazed sections, each with a pull-down glass front that slides up and back to protect contents from dust while keeping books fully visible — a clever, functional design that remains just as practical today as it was over a century ago. Being fully sectional, each unit can be separated, meaning the bookcase can be reconfigured to suit different spaces, or added to over time with further matching sections.

The rich, golden oak with its distinctive grain has aged beautifully, and the original brass corner hardware and fittings remain intact throughout, adding real character and authenticity.
