G Plan Fresco Mid Century Teak Room Divider / Sideboard — 1960s

A genuine statement piece of mid-century furniture design. This G Plan Fresco room divider in warm teak dates from the 1960s and is in excellent original condition.

The Fresco range was one of G Plan’s most celebrated collections. The combination of a practical sideboard base with open bookcase and drop-front cabinet above creates a piece that is as functional as it is visually striking. Sculpted handles, tapered legs and elegant proportions are quintessentially mid-century and look as fresh today as when they were first made.

The piece comprises:

• Lower sideboard with three graduated drawers and double cupboard with sculpted teak handles
• Upper open shelving unit with adjustable shelves
• Drop-front cocktail/display cabinet
• Brass ladder detail connecting upper and lower sections
• Raised on original tapered splayed legs with connecting stretcher

The teak has a gorgeous warm honey tone throughout with the grain and patina you only find on a genuinely well-made vintage piece. Structurally solid with all drawers and doors opening and closing smoothly.

Works equally well as a room divider, home office storage, home bar or simply as a dramatic focal point in any living or dining room.
